Anura Sketches and Mockups
September 01, 2008 00:00 -0500. Concept drawings for a race of iguana-frog-like creatures that live near water bodies, with big populations living in coasts and mangroves. They specialize in commerce and navigation. Anura is part of the Intraversum project.
Cautious Cat
March 24, 2007 00:00 -0500. A painting of a cat with black and white fur getting closer cautiously to the observer. Green and shiny eyes. Alert ears. I drew this image with pencil and then painted it in Artwewaver. The image is a reproduction of a photo taken by my brother.
Jaguar
January 11, 2007 00:00 -0500. A painting of jaguar staring at the viewer and showing its fangs. I draw this image using a mouse pen and a trial version of Corel Painter, which is a proprietary software that I replaced with MyPaint. It was drawn from a reference photo whose author I can't remember.
Salome's Dance
February 23, 2006 00:00 -0500. Pencil drawing of a woman standing up, her legs close together, arms straight down, arching her back backwards. Nude. This is an exercise of anatomy drawing. The image is a reproduction in graphite of the woman who appears in the sculpture known as "Danza de Salomé", by Marco Tobón Mejía (1876-1933).
With Ink
September 11, 2004 00:00 -0500. A set of drawing exercises using pen and Chinese ink. The first two were made on Gvarro paper, a very nice multimedia drawing paper. I use photo reference for most of the drawings, but I can't remember all the authors.
