A free kick is one of the results of the challenge dice and it is indicated by the whistle image. A free kick is always awarded to the attacking team.

During a free kick, both teams can relocate their players, but the defending team has to use two of its players as a barrier three squares away from the ball.

When the referee indicates it, the coach of the attacking team rolls the movement dice to see how many squares the ball can be moved through. The attacking coach decides whether the shot is direct or indirect, depending on the possibilities.
