The kick-off occurs at the beginning of every half and after a goal is scored. To perform a kick-off, the attacking team sets two of its players in position: one of them behind the ball, and the other one two squares to the right or to the left.

Once the referee starts the match, the coach of the attacking team rolls the Movement Dice and can then move both the players and the ball. The first move, however, has to be a pass. If the outcome is 1, the result is ignored and the the coach is allowed to throw the dice again until the outcome is 2 or more, so that the mandatory pass can be completed.
