The main objective of the team that has the ball is to advance to the opponents goal and score. This is done using the Movement Dice (the black one) and the Shooting Dice (the red one).

On their turn, the coach rolls the Movement Dice. The result indicates how many spaces the coach can move their players and the ball. Moving a player or the ball to a contiguous square counts as one move.
Let's say the coach of the white team rolls and the outcome is 9. The coach is free to move one or more players, pass the ball or not. For example, they could consume the 9 moves as follows:

A player can be moved in any direction, but never above other players. The ball can be moved in any direction too and follow a curved motion, but the referee could ask the coach to repeat the move of the ball if they think its motion goes beyond the limits of reality.
Passing
Keep in mind that a pass is considered complete only if the final location of the ball is the square in front of the target player. If the ball doesn't make it to the front, the ball is said to be free and the other team can take it without having to perform a challenge.
Moving With The Ball (dribbling)
The player that has the ball has to move with it between its legs. To do this, the player is placed above the ball using the hole in the its base, and then both are moved to the desired square, where the ball should be made visible again, putting the player behind it. Placing a player over the ball and finally taking it off are not counted as moves.

Shooting
Shooting is performed by moving the ball to any of the spaces before the goal line or the space in front of the goalkeeper.

When the ball reaches any of those places, the coach of the attacking team can throw the Shooting Dice to see if the shot resulted in a goal or not. For example:

The Shooting Dice has four possible results: score, saved, corner kick or out. In this case, the goalkeeper saved the shot and finally prepares for a goal kick.
