Three people can participate in a match in Golea: two coaches and a referee. Every coach controls a team. The referee makes sure the rules of the game are followed and takes care of the scoreboard. Coaches move their players in turns using the Movement Dice.
Before a match starts, the referee tosses a coin to decide which of the two coaches moves first. The first turn always starts with a kick-off.
